Elle leapt at the giant golem that loomed in front of her. Leaping high into the air the girl planted her feet in the golem’s chest and leapt back off. The golem stumbled a foot backwards, but it wasn’t enough for Elle.
When the girl landed she tossed her staff at the creatures head. The staff made impact and bounced off. The impact was strong and enough to make the golem stumble backwards, but it wasn’t powerful enough to hurt or destroy the massive, clay creature.
Elle leapt forwards once more and caught her staff before it struck the ground. With all her might she began swinging her staff. The staff slammed against the golems body. Each strike caused the creature to move one more foot backwards, but it still wasn’t enough to destroy the creature.
“Damn…” Elle breathed, halting her attack. Sweat was trickling down her brow and she was breathing hard. Elle gritted her teeth as the huge golem began approaching her. The girl gasped when she realized something. Looking over her shoulder the girl noticed that Aiko and Ashley were gone. The golem had purposely led her away from them.
“Clever…” Elle said, taking a deep breath. The girl turned her attention back to the golem. “I’m coming for you…” She said, leaping at the golem once more. Swinging her staff hard, but when her staff struck the golem this time it didn’t move. “Damn!” Elle cried.
The golem swung one of it’s arms hard knocking Elle’s staff out of her hands. Before Elle could react another massive hand wrapped around her left leg. Soon the girl was dangling upside down.
“LET GO OF ME!” Elle ordered, but the golem ignored the girl as it grabbed the girl’s arms with another hand. Elle struggled against the golem, but it was impossible to break free.
Elle watched in horror as the golem reached for her left foot and tugged off her boot exposing her bare foot. “Crap!” Elle cried, as the golem began tickling her bare foot. Elle roared with ticklish laughter. Her chest heaved and her body shook violently. Even though the girl was being tickle torture she thought it was strange. Normally golems were used to kill opponents not tickle them. The creator of the golem had to make the conscious decision to make them that way.
The golem raked a single finger up and down the middle of her left foot. After several moments it attacked her heel and made short work of it.
“STOP IT!” Elle screamed, struggling hard against the clay creature.
The golem roared as it reached for Elle’s exposed sides and began poking them with it’s final hand. Elle pulled away from the golem’s tickling fingers as far as she could, but the golem quickly moved it’s hand and began tickling her other side.
Elle’s cheeks grew even redder and tears began welling up in the corners of her eyes. She felt like she was dying. “N-NO MORE!” She screamed, but the golem refused to quit.
Elle began pulling with all her might. The golem tightened it’s grip and it’s arms began moving slightly. “COME ON!” Elle said, her voice shook as she continued to pull and struggle in the golems grasps.
To Elle’s surprise her leg slid out of the Golem’s massive hand. The golem roared in rage and tried to grab the leg again, but Elle kicked the arm as hard as she could. The girl smiled brightly as she began flying through the air, away from the creature.
Elle landed gracefully a few yards away. Her eyes scanned the ground for her staff, but it was nowhere to be seen. “Damn… I got away. I have to make my next move count!” The girl thought.
Elle’s eyes fell on her left boot that was lying on the ground. The girl quickly took up her boot and slid her foot into it. An idea entered her mind. “Hey stupid!” She cried, taking up a rock and tossing it at the golem. The rock bounced off the golem’s head. “Follow me!” She roared.
The golem roared once more before chasing after the young girl. Elle leapt into the trees and ran as fast as she could. She wanted to put as much distance between it and herself.
The earth beneath Elle’s feet shook and the sounds of snapping trees behind her was all the girl could feel and hear. “Come on…” Elle thought, to herself. “It has to be around here somewhere…”
Just as the thought left her mind the sound of rushing water greeted the girl. A large rive appeared in front of the girl as she plowed through a row of bushes. “YES!” The girl cheered, throwing her hands into the air. The girl turned on her heels as the golem charged through the bushes after her.
“I can do this… I can do this!” Elle thought to herself.
The golem roared as it reached for Elle with all four of it’s massive hands. Elle bent low and then leapt high into the air. The girl sailed over the clay monster and then slammed the heel of her right foot into the back of the creatures head. The golem roared and stumbled forwards, but it didn’t fall into the river like Elle had hoped.
“Damn!” Elle cursed, as the golem turned to face the girl. Elle could hear her heart pounding in her ears and sweat trickling down her brow. “Come on!” The girl roared. She bent low and was prepared to kick the golem once more, but a rumbling sound stopped her.
Without warning the ground beneath the golems feet gave way and the massive creature vanished beneath the rippling waves of the ocean. Elle’s lower jaw dropped in awe and her eyes widened.
“What the…” The girl began. She then shook her head hard and turned back to the forest. “No time…” She breathed. The girl had to quickly find her staff and find Aiko. She could only hope her friend was safe and holding her own.
