As local San Franciscans know, the Mission is a blossoming center for the arts. There are always events in this area to attract art enthusiasts and anybody interested in society and culture. Many of these events are also free to the public.
One art exhibit is at the Creativity Explored Gallery on 3245 16th Street and offers a unique, artistic take on comics. The exhibit is called “And Then…” and will be on display through September.
There are several upcoming events at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts on 2868 Mission Street. The first event is called “Celebrate San Francisco” and features several local artists, whose works revolve around this theme. Keep an eye out for the other eclectic events at this center, including activities for Day of the Dead.
