Last year, the women on Facebook spun the world around with their oh-so-secret chain letter and unbelievably revealing posts. The topic of conversation and the colors on the posts included their favorite bra color.
This year, the provocative posts are going viral once again, this time in the “I like it” (name location) form! I think the men have us figured out this year, though. Although the “I like it on the floor” and “I like it on the kitchen table” posts seem to be the answers to “Where do you like to make love?”, they are actually the answer to the question, “Where do you prefer to place your purse?” No wonder there’s such a buzz about the posts!
The Facebook rally is an effort to gather women and create a worldwide awareness that breast cancer is a real factor in the lives of millions of women and that everyone needs to secure an appointment with their doctor and get checked in order to catch the disease in its early stages. The somber fat of the matter is: breast cancer is predicted to claim the lives of over 10 million women over the course of the next 25 years.
Thanks to the viral ability of social media in the world today, spreading the word about breast cancer has become as simple as a few keystrokes and the click of a button. Awareness like this is so important, because this disease affects not only the women in this world, but also the men and children that love them and depend on them.
Help spread the awareness of breast cancer by hopping on Facebook and telling the world where you “Like it” and be sure to get to the doctors and get yourself checked as well! Remind your friends and family (a good friend reminded me the other day). The old saying, “Prevention is the best medicine” applies to breast cancer, as well, too.
