Autumn leaves fall as we watch the harvest moon set
while we hurry to pack up our game of croquette
Reddish orange leaves fall to the ground
without even making a sound.
Our spirits rise as the amber air cools
and, we see children dressed up like ghosts and ghouls.
Family birthdays wrapped up in a big orange bow,
and the intimidating face of a straw scare crow.
Once again Indian summer has come to greets us!
Will the headless horsemen rise up to meet us?
Our family gathers to sing an old familiar fall song
as we hold hands knowing nothing can go wrong!
while enjoying our out door barbeque, we hear football fans cheer
apples, doughnuts, pumpkins and cider; finally fall is here.
