Those beautiful, captivating eyes.
They were filled with an intensity that made
flames jump up around those she cast her gaze on.
Yet loving and soft were they:
Smooth as satin,
Two sea-glass spheres.
Beauteous tide pools
awash with emotion.
I wrote all this down in a poem for her.
Summoning great courage I handed her the poem.
“Thanks,” she replied, letting show
a smile to match her eyes.
“I got them for $69.99 at
the Vision Center.”
