The wide receiver position in fantasy football has become a crap shoot of sorts and the weekend of November 14th is no different. Keep an eye on injuries to some of the better wide receivers in the NFL including Andre Johnson who is suffering from a knee injury (41 yards on four catches against Chargers) and Roddy White who left his game with a knee injury Sunday. Watch the injury reports during the week before making a decision.
Three Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Start in Week 10 of Fantasy Football
Mike Sims-Walker: Jacksonville Jaguars
Mike Sims-Walker has been off the map as a fantasy football wide receiver but his last performance before his bye week was his best week of the year. Now he comes up against the worst pass defense in the NFL. Sims-Walker looks healthy and on the same page with David Garrard. Sims-Walker was once on the trading block earlier this season. Start Mike Sims Walker on most fantasy football teams unless the team has two wide receivers ranked among the top eight fantasy football wide receivers and they are healthy.
Mike Williams: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Mike Williams has been a pleasant surprise for most fantasy football owners this season. Williams only ranks in the top 30 of most wide receivers in fantasy football leagues but he has put together back to back strong weeks and now he will be playing NFC South opponents the Carolina Panthers. This is a must win for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the heels of a loss. Mike Williams is a start for fantasy football owners unless the team has two wide receivers ranked among the top ten in fantasy football rankings.
Larry Fitzgerald: Arizona Cardinals
Derek Anderson is not the best quarterback for a player of Larry Fitzgerald’s caliber. This has hindered Fitzgerald but he has put together a few solid fantasy football performances. The Arizona Cardinals play the Seattle Seahawks in a critical NFC West game for first place in the division and the Seahawks have been awful on the road. Start Larry Fitzgerald in all fantasy football leagues.
Three Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Sit in Week 10 of Fantasy Football
Steve Smith: Carolina Panthers
Steve Smith has suffered through injuries and quarterback changes and he may have turned off the switch this season. This NFC South game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers should result in a shut down of Smith with both running backs Jonathan Stewart and DeAngleo Williams banged up. Stewart will be out with a head injury and Williams is dealing with foot problems. Sit Steve Smith in all fantasy football leagues.
Percy Harvin: Minnesota Vikings
Percy Harvin had a big day after issues with his head coach and an ankle injury to boot. None of this stopped him last weekend and he had 126 yards receiving. Harvin ranks among the top twenty in fantasy football receivers so it may still make sense to start Harvin on some fantasy football teams. Sit Percy Harvin on fantasy football teams unless the next best option is ranked 12th or less.
Chad Ocho Cinco: Cincinnati Bengals
The Indianapolis Colts should have Chad Ocho Cinco’s number in this game but it may lead to a big day by Terrell Owens. Ocho CInco will be coming off a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and he will be beat up coming into this game. Sit Chad Ocho Cinco in most fantasy football leagues unless the next best option is ranked 16th or less.
