Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick has been diagnosed with bruised ribs with the possbility of cracked cartiliage between his second and third rib. The good news is that no bones are broken but cracked cartilage is nothing to sneeze at due to the pain it can cause. Vick is still in quite a bit of pain from Sunday’s hit and at this point it looks doubtful for him to play in Week 5. Kevin Kolb will get the start in his place.
Analysis: The QB carousel continues in Philly as Vick wont be playing in Week 5. Kolb looked OK in relief on Sunday but he looked very uncertain during the fourth quarter when the game was on the line. Hold Vick but look for a better fill-in that Kolb if you are an owner.
