The position of running back can frustrate many fantasy football owners and week 10 of fantasy football on November 14th could either disappoint or encourage fantasy football owners. Running backs such as old standards Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson are easy starts on a weekly basis and now Arian Foster is quickly falling into that category as well.
Fantasy football owners that have running backs such as Shonn Greene and Ahmad Bradshaw are quite understandably scratching their heads trying to figure out when to start or sit their inconsistent running backs. The best solution to many of these situations for fantasy football owners is to read as many start and sit lists as possible and then go with a gut decision.
Three Fantasy Football Running Backs to Start in Week 10 of Fantasy Football
Jamaal Charles: Kansas City Chiefs
Jamaal Charles was bottled up by the improved Oakland Raiders defense and he only rushed for 53 yards in the Kansas City Chiefs overtime loss in Oakland. Charles will now be facing the Denver Broncos defense that watched Darren McFadden run wild on them earlier in the season. Charles will be ready to be set loose in this game and look for over 130 yards minimum and a couple of touchdowns. Jamaal Charles is a must start in fantasy football in week ten.
Steven Jackson: St Louis Rams
Steven Jackson is fresh off a bye week and some much needed rest heading into this NFC West match up. The San Francisco 49ers are also coming off a bye week after playing in London, England the week previous. Jackson is tough enough to stop when he has been playing six consecutive games but with a bye week under his belt he should be able to put a hurting on the San Francisco 49ers defense. Steven Jackson is a must start in all fantasy football leagues.
LeSean McCoy: Philadelphia Eagles
LeSean McCoy had a solid week last weekend against the Indianapolis Colts but it was not worthy of the top three fantasy football running backs of week nine. McCoy now goes against the Washington Redskins once again on Monday Night Football and with Michael Vick using him on the option he could see the ball more against the Redskins. Start LeSean McCoy in all fantasy football leagues for week ten of fantasy football.
Three Fantasy Football Running Backs to Sit in Week 10 of Fantasy Football
Matt Forte: Chicago Bears
No fantasy football owners could be more frustrated with their running back than Matt Forte owners. Forte is in the Mike Martz offense with the Chicago Bears and many fantasy football owners assumed he would be the Marshall Faulk component in the equation. So far this has been true on occasion but for most of the season Forte has been tough to start. Sit Matt Forte on most fantasy football teams unless the next best option is ranked 12th or less.
Shonn Greene: New York Jets
Shonn Greene of the New York Jets has been hit or miss all season and when the options to start him come down to the end of the season it may be best to play it safe and sit Shonn Greene on most occasions the remainder of the season. Consider the defense and tread softly when making any decisions to start Greene in the future. Sit Shonn Greene in most fantasy football leagues unless the next best option is ranked 14th or less.
Felix Jones or Marion Barber: Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys running game has been non-existent this season and the fantasy football owners of Felix Jones and Marion Barber have paid the price. Never good to cut a running back of the quality of these two backs but it may be that time to cut and run with both of these running backs. Sit either of these running backs in all fantasy football leagues.
