The Bengals laid an egg on the road against a bad Browns team and let the league know they shouldn’t be taken seriously right now. The Browns got their first win with Seneca Wallace once again behind center.
Seneca Wallace: 18/30 for 184 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT. This is probably going to be Wallace’s last start for awhile as Jake Delhomme should be back next week but either way he was never going to help fantasy football owners.
Peyton Hillis: 27 carries for 102 yards with 1 TD along with 2 catches for 8 yards. Hillis had a very good follow up to his bust out game last week and no doubt should be started every week in all leagues until he cools down. The fact he is getting the full load of carries is huge as there are only a handful of players getting that many carries and he also catches the football which helps his value even more. Those who were able to snag him did very well here.
Chansi Stuckey: 5 catches for 56 yards. Nothing to see here. Move on.
Josh Cribbs: 2 catches for 24 yards. It really is amazing how few fantasy football relevant players the Browns have.
Benjamin Watson: 6 catches for 60 yards. Nice game for Watson but I stopped trusting him years ago.
Carson Palmer: 25/36 for 371 yards with 2 TD’s and 0 INT’s. Good game for Palmer who needed one in the worst way to stay relevant. Still his struggles throwing downfield are pronounced and he is nothing but a bye-week fill-in.
Cedric Benson: 15 carries for 60 yards. Benson has been a big yawn so far this season as he has failed to follow up on his breakout 2009 campaign. Stick with him in TD heavy leagues but those in PPR formats should actively try and trade him or bench him.
Terrell Owens: 10 catches for 222 yards with 1 TD. This guy is still so good that its scary. He is a physical marvel and is overshadowing good friend Chad Ochocinco. Yes he still has it and should be started in all formats.
Chad Ochocinco: 3 catches for 59 yards. No doubt Ocho has got to be feeling a tad jealous of all the love Owens is receiving from Carson Palmer. He has that awesome Game 1 and not much since. I still am very confident in his abilities and am adamant he should remain in your lineups.
Jermaine Gresham: 5 catches for 35 yards. Since Jason Witten had a bye, I had a choice of either using Aaron Hernandez or Gresham as a fill-in. I went with Hernandez but Gresham has a useful game in PPR. He has been very consistent this season and is knocking on the door to every week status.
Jordan Shipley: 2 catches for 29 yards. Even though I had to cut him loose, I still keep tabs on Shipley and he was forced from the game with a concussion. Until he starts putting big games together, he should be left on waivers. If anything happens to Ocho or Owens however, Shipley should be an option.
