The upstart Buc’s earn as huge win over the Bengals to go to a very surprising 3-1 on the year. The Bengals on the other hand are spiraling out of control as they have back-to-back losses against the Browns and now Buc’s. Yeah not good.
Carson Palmer: 21/36 for 209 yards with 2 TD’s and 3 INT’s. Palmer used to be one of the best pure throwers of the football in the entire league but his struggles this season as downright inexcusable with all of the talent around him this year. He no longer is capable of being on a fantasy football roster either as a starter or as a backup.
Cedric Benson: 23 carries for 144 yards along with 2 catches for 19 yards. Benson was great today and he needed this as he had been struggling since the start of the year. Last year he proved he can get very hot and carry a fantasy football team so its possible this could be the start of something good.
Terrell Owens: 7 catches for 102 yards with 1 TD. There is no doubt right now that Owens is the top dog in the Cincy passing game which cant please good friend Chad Ochocinco. Owens still has it and is quickly becoming one of the best fantasy football bargains of the year. You can never doubt the man it seems.
Chad Ochocinco: 3 catches for 20 yards. You just get the feeling that Ocho is going to start pouting off soon about his lack of looks in the passing game. He was incredible with 12 catches in Week 1 but than a whole bunch of nothing since. He is still worth starting as he can bust out at any moment but so far he is not proving that last season plunge in catches was a one-year anomaly.
Jermaine Gresham: 4 catches for 24 yards. Gresham continues to do his thing in a very nice rookie season so far. He has been steady in the 4-6 catch range each week and that has its value. He should be on notice to those who own the injured Jermichael Finley as there is no word yet on how long he could be out.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers:
Josh Freeman: 20/33 for 280 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT along with 3 carries for 20 yards. Freeman has really impressed me with is progression as a passer and he has the speed to contribute on the ground. He still has more ceiling to get to and this is without a doubt an intriguing option in future years.
Earnest Graham: 3 carries for 65 yards with 1 TD. Graham is a proven 1,000 yard back and he is a major threat to the starters job right now. Keep him on your watch lists as he could get anointed as soon as this week of which he than would be worth owning as a low end RB 2.
Carnell Williams: 11 carries for 33 yards. This is surely the last week I will writing about Williams as he is not worth mentioning anymore. Earnest Graham should get the starters job this week.
Mike Williams: 7 catches for 99 yards with 1 TD and 1 fumble. The rookie Williams came back strong here after vanishing some the last two weeks. He is still too young and inconsistent to depend on as one of your fantasy football starters at WR but like his QB, Williams is someone who will be making noise the next few years.
Kellen Winslow: 6 catches for 75 yards. There is no doubt that Winslow can go off on any given day but this is his first big game since the start of the year. He still warrants a roster spot for sure but he is not in the class of the Antonio Gates and the Dallas Clarks of the world.
