The Packers beat up on the Bills who in my opinion are the worst team in the NFL. No surprises here. Now lets look at the fantasy football issues here.
Trent Edwards: 11/18 for 102 yards with 0 TD’s and 2 INT’s. Edwards cant play in this league and he probably wouldn’t even make a decent backup. Its amazing to me that the Bills would go into the season with Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB but that’s why they are the worst team in the league.
Fred Jackson: 9 carries for 39 yards and a 1 TD. Jackson is the best all around back on the roster but the carries are being split between three guys so he has very little fantasy football value. Out of the three he is the one to own but only as a backup.
Marshawn Lynch: 17 carries for 64 yards. The only reason Lynch got the most carries was because the Bills were showcasing him to the RB needy Packers no matter how much they deny it. Lynch is still not ownable.
CJ Spiller: 1 carry for 3 yards along with 4 catches for 23 yards. What a difference a week makes as Spiller started in week 1 and barely touched the ball in week 2. He didn’t look ready last week which might be why coach Chan Gailey pulled back this week. Dont drop him as he will get another chance soon and could literally run with it at that point.
Lee Evans: zero catches for zero yards. Wow has Evans fallen off the fantasy football landscape as this game shows. Evans is no longer worthy of a roster spot.
Roscoe Parrish: 2 catches for 34 yards. Parrish is like every receiver on the Bills. They are not ownable due to the QB situation.
Rian Lindell: No field goals attempted. Bad home park and bad offense means not worth owning.
GREEN BAY PACKERS:
Aaron Rodgers: 19/29 for 255 yards with 2 TD’s and 0 INT’s along with 5 carries for 20 yards and 1 TD. Rodgers did a little of everything here and is a fantasy football scoring bonanza each week.
Brandon Jackson: 11 carries for 29 yards and 1 TD along with 1 catch for 10 yards. Jackson dropped the ball in his crack as a starter and this will only intensify their search for a better option. At this point you should hold Jackson because he is playing in one of the best offenses in the league but its not looking good right now.
Donald Driver: 4 catches for 38 yards and 1 TD. Driver is holding on as a WR 3 and he still can get it done for fantasy owners. Not a great game but the TD helped the bottom line.
Greg Jennings: 3 catches for 36 yards. Jennings is frustrating due to his inconsistency but you got to stick with him every week due to his place in this offense. There will be a lot of touchdowns on the way for sure.
Jermichael Finley: 4 catches for 103 yards. I tabbed Finley as one of the top TE options for the week and he didn’t disappoint. The yardage was great and only a TD would have made things better. That’s the knock on him in that there are a lot of options for Rodgers but he will be good throughout the season.
Mason Crosby: 2/2 on FG. Crosby can be somewhat inconsistent but he is a top option due to the fact he will put up a ton of points playing in this offense.
