Ready to party Bernal style? The Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center is throwing the 22nd annual Fiesta on the Hill, Sunday, October 17th on Cortland Avenue. Friends and neighbors will gather ’round to enjoy spectacular activities for the entire neighborhood to enjoy.
Fiesta is an energetic, inclusive street fair that draws 15,000 residents from Bernal Heights, San Francisco, and the Bay Area each year. This year will be no different. Families can enjoy this alcohol-free event that emphasizes children;s activities like a petting zoo, pony rides, carnival-style games, and a pumpkin patch. Even if children aren’t in tote, adults can use this opportunity to taste scrumptious street food, buy locally designed products, and enjoy live music featured on two stages.
Fiesta is put on by the BHNC staff and 200 community volunteers. The event raises money for BHNC programs and services through sponsorships, concessions, and donations. BHNC works to enhance the cultural, ethnic, and economic diversity in the Bernal Heights area.
Fiesta on the Hill demonstrates the strong connections between the individuals in the Southeast area of San Francisco. The mission of Fiesta on the Hill is to involve the residents to participate in making Bernal Heights a better place. Fiesta on Hill is a must-go event for all SF residents to attend this October.
