TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP – SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE MATCH: Jeff Hardy (Champion) vs. “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan. Featuring Mr. Anderson…Anderson as the special guest referee.
I’m giving the win to Jeff Hardy. He just beat Morgan last month at Turning Point. Morgan has not really done anything in that time to prove he deserves to be Champion. I really think TNA has no one else to put in the title picture so they are having Morgan fill in. I’m not sure what kind of role Mr. Anderson will play in this match. I would not be surprised if he turned heel, helped Jeff Hardy pick up the victory, and joined immortal.
SUBMISSION MATCH: Jeff Jarrett vs. “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe
Last month at Turning Point Jarrett defeated Joe by submission using a Coquina Clutch. Jarrett also had some help from Gunner and Murphy, but this time around things are going to be different. I picked Joe to win at Turning Point and I’m sticking with him at Final Resolution. I think Joe will defeat Jarrett, that means both men would have a victory over the other setting up for one final match between the two.
CASKET MATCH: “The Monster” Abyss vs. “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero
These two also faced off last month at Turning Point with Abyss picking up the victory. I thought The Pope was going to win, but ended up being wrong. This month I’m sticking with The Pope. I think The Pope can pick up the victory and he might get some help from his congregation who turned on him at Turning Point.
FIRST BLOOD MATCH: Rob Van Dam (RVD) vs. “The War Machine” Rhino
I think RVD will win this match. Just like RVD defeated Dreamer at Turning Point, I can’t see Rhino beating RVD either. RVD is still being kept out of the title picture since returning from injury, but I think a victory here will put him one step closer to facing Jeff Hardy.
TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – FULL METAL MAYHEM: Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) (Champions) vs. Generation Me (Max & Jeremy Buck)
The Guns have been Champions since July 11th, but I think they could still walk away as Champions. These two teams faced off two months ago at Bound For Glory with The Guns picking up the win. This time around things may be different, but my gut tells me to stick with The Guns. If Beer Money is going to become the Number One Contenders. It is better for them to face The Guns rather than take on another heel tag team in Generation Me.
FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH: Tara vs. Mickie James
Last month at Turning Point these two faced each other. The match ended up being no contest, which is why the falls count anywhere stipulation was added to this match. I thought James was going to win at Turning Point and I think she is going to win at Final Resolution for the same reasoning. James just joined TNA, but since she is face by defeating Tara it will help put her over with the crowd.
TNA TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: “The Phenomenal” Aj Styles (Champion) vs. Douglas Williams
I’m giving the win to Douglas Williams. Styles has been Champion since July 22nd and I think it’s time he loses the championship. There is just something about Douglas Williams that I like and I’m glad he is going out on his own again.
TNA X-DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Robbie E. (Champion) vs. Jay Lethal
Robbie E. became Champion last month at Turning Point with the help of Cookie. This time around Cookie will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage, but I still think Robbie E. will be able to pick up the victory on his own. I thought Jay Lethal would have remained Champion at Turning Point, but now that he lost the championship I don’t see him winning it back. Why take the title off Jay Lethal just to give it back to him a month later? It just doesn’t make a lot of sense to me which is why I’m giving the win to Robbie E.
NUMBER ONE CONTENDER’S MATCH: Beer Money (Robert Roode & James Storm) vs. Ink Inc. (Jesse Neal & Shannon Moore)
It’s really tough to pick a winner in this match. Do we really want to see the Motor City Machine Guns take on Beer Money again? I would rather see them face Ink Inc. but I think Beer Money will win this match. To me it does not seem like Beer Money has done much in a while, but I think that’s about to change at Final Resolution.
