Anytime you move your limbs at a moderate intensity, it is considered exercise. Get out and play with your kids, mow your lawn, get out of the chair and dance when you hear your favorite song. The more you move the better you will feel throughout the day. It is important to remember that our bones are living tissue that continuously renew itself. Bones require regular stimulation from physical activity. Muscles along with bones should be used regularly or they will deteriorate.
Now that I have you moving, lets try and make this happen more consistently. Set aside some time for yourself that you dedicate to the development of your body. Nothing should take priority over that time. Make a schedule for yourself and don’t skip workouts. Also realize that your nutrition plays a key role in the success of your fitness, so try to find a diet that you can consistently follow. Consistency in your workout program leads to better muscle memory, which plays a key role in how tone you will look.
With all this new movement your doing you will have to fuel your body more. if you fatigue in the afternoon, reach for fruits, veggies or a high protein snack rather than sweets, which can actually rob your body of energy. Try to plan your daily meals and snacks. For healthy eating, enjoy three meals and two additional snacks if you’re hungry in between mealtimes. To reduce fat intake, substitute fat-free milk and nonfat or low-fat frozen yogurt for whole milk, cream and ice cream.
