All women know how difficult it can be to find that perfect bra! From the straps to the padding all the way to the back clasps and under wire, we have plenty of reason to be picky. On average 80% of American women are wearing the wrong bra size. In order for a bra to do its job it’s very important that you know your correct size. Victoria’s Secret, Lane Bryant, and Nordstrom’s all do free fittings but I find that Victoria’s Secret is the most accurate in there measurements.
Following are my keys to success with bras.
When you try a bra on the first thing you want to check for is that you fit all the way into the cup. If you’re bulging out of the sides it’s a good indicator that you need to up in a band size, the numbered size. When you bend forward if you have an inch of gaping you need to go down a cup size, the lettered size.
Once you find the perfect cup size it’s important to make sure the straps are nicely lined so that they hold well with comfort.
The real secret to bras is when you do try it on you want to be able to clasp it with the first clasp. This way, as your bra stretches, wears, and gets washed you have two clasps still ready for use. This will make your bra last twice as longer.
Your best bet is to go to your local Victoria’s Secret and ask for a fitting. You’re not required to buy anything and it’s completely free.
