Before the leftovers from Thanksgiving dinner are even gone, consumers across the country will be lining up to take advantage of the Black Friday sales and deals. The Friday after Thanksgiving has become THE day to get a good price on Christmas presents and personal items; so much so that you may be left without that special gift on someone’s list if you don’t get yourself out there early and join the crowds.
Successful Black Friday shopping means planning ahead, having a game plan, knowing what you want and making sure you get to the store early to stand in line. My family has purchased several new computers on Black Friday because of the incredible deals and bundle packages you can get. If your plan is to purchase electronics, then you need to be there early and go for that first. Stores often refuse to issue rain checks on Black Friday specials and they carry limited amounts of electronics. Know when the stores open and be there early to get in as soon as the doors open. Many stores have started opening as early as midnight, so you may have to take a power nap after the turkey dinner and before the shopping race begins.
Black Friday shopping will probably have you taking advantage of a variety of ad sales, printable coupons and frequent customer specials. Your local newspaper will have the sales papers, or you can go to a site like TGIBlackFriday.com to see the sales ads; there are several online sites for printable coupons you much check out if you are doing some holiday shopping.
DealCatcher.com has online and printable coupons. Some of the best coupons we found were a printable coupon for American Eagle Outfitters that gives you 15% off your entire purchase and a Yankee Candle printable coupon that gives you two free large jars when you buy two large jars.
After the dust has cleared from the mad dash to the stores on Friday, consumers will be surfing the web and doing some online shopping. Cyber Monday is another one of the largest online shopping days of the year and deals are everywhere. You can reference the same coupon sites for online coupons, but there are several more sites that have some great bargains.
Couponcabin.com launched in 2003 and seems to have an extensive and comprehensive selection of coupons. Some of the better deals there for Cyber Monday shopping are an online coupon for 10% off your entire order at the Men’s Wearhouse and 20% off your online order at Kohl’s.
