Review of Amy’s Tofu Vegetable Lasagna : Packaging Recyclability
A one serving 9.5oz (269g) package of Amy’s Tofu Vegetable Lasagna was purchased at Giant for $4.49. Packaging of this organic vegetarian lasagna frozen entree is a cardboard or paperboard box. Inside is a paperboard tray in a plastic pocket. The pocket is easier to remove and less food sticks to it after cooking compared to plastic that’s sealed to the paper. My curbside recycling takes frozen food packaging like this plastic and paperboard. As stated in my associated content articles, package recyclability is something I consider important when purchasing products.

Review of Amy’s Tofu Vegetable Lasagna : Taste
Remove from the outer cardboard box, vent plastic, and it can be microwaved. Different instructions are on the box for cooking in a conventional oven or toaster oven. Fresh basil is pictured in the serving suggestion. This is a filling vegetarian lasagna.
Vegetables include tomatoes, zucchini, spinach, onions, carrots, garlic, and herbs. The cheese is mozzarella style soy cheeze with milk derived protein caseinate. Standout flavors are tomato sauce, zucchini, spinach, mozzarella cheese, semolina and whole wheat noodles. I was surprised to find that the cheese was soy as it tasted like regular cheese. There is also organic tofu in this organic vegetarian lasagna.
I like many of Amy’s brand frozen entrees and I like this microwavable vegetarian lasagna. This product is organic and has clear information on the package for people with food allergies. The cholesterol free vegetable lasagna frozen entree described in this AC article is a great choice if you prefer something vegetarian, organic, or require something free of lactose, peanuts, eggs, fish, shellfish, or other meat. I would buy it again and would like to try more Amy’s brand frozen entrees.
