Now, most females can proudly proclaim their passion for fashion, however I personally consider myself a unique fashion femme fatale. I am always in search of the next great find; consider it a refusal to be like everyone else. I prefer to set trends and define style.
As I patrolled through Fort Greene/Clinton Hill (I consider this my beat), you cannot imagine the excitement that engulfed me as I stumbled upon Thistle & Clover on 221 DeKalb Ave. in Brooklyn.
As I entered the atmosphere, which appeared irresistible, I immediately felt at home. The quaint boutique had a very homey feel, set in an artistic manner. Could it be that the two ladies responsible for such an exquisite fashion haven are fellow fashion passionistas? At this point I felt teary as I browsed and scanned through uniquely coveted clothing, shoes and accessories (OH MY).
Camille Gale and Rand Nierderhoff, I officially consider you both fashion gurus. Not only are the collections outstanding but the store features exclusive shopping nights, designer meet and greets, garden cocktail parties (in the evening hours), not to mention new talent searches, or open casting calls for up and coming designers.
I was in awe at the ambiance of such a quaint and cozy existence, and it’s located in the Fort Greene/Hill area. Such huge aspirations servicing such a small and amazing neighborhood (and the entire NYC metro area). Hats off to Thistle & Clover indeed!
