The $5 per person” basic tour” is given at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm weekdays. Advance reservations are not required, but visitors are expected to be prompt. It is best to arrive a few minutes in advance of the tour as those that are tardy will not be allowed to join the group.
The “basic tour” includes a guided tour of the chocolate production area, pastry staff introductions, a brief video presentation and a chocolate taste test.
Unlike the “basic tour”, advance reservations including meal selections are required for the “lunch tour.” The per person price for the “lunch tour” varies based on menu selection, ranging anywhere from $14.50 to $20.50 excluding applicable taxes and gratuities.
The “lunch tour” includes all of the elements of the “basic tour” with the addition of the afternoon meal.
Would-be visitors should note that there is a minimum requirement of 8 people needed in order to reserve a “lunch tour.”
Make Your Own Chocolate Tour
This chocolate tour is my personal, unquestionable favorite because of the exceptionality of it. Priced at a reasonable $10 per person, the “Make Your Own Chocolate” tour includes all the elements of a basic tour with two special twists.
Those on the “Make Your Own Chocolate” tour will get the pleasure of learning from master Chocolatier Ghyslain Maurais how to create a decadent, mousse filled, chocolate tulip cup.
The lesson is actually a hands-on one so each tour participant will leave knowing exactly how to create the tasty tulip.
Furthermore, participants get to keep with chocolate tulip and a copy of “Ghyslain Chocolatier’s” celebrated mousse recipe.
As it is with the “lunch tour”, a minimum of 8 people are needed in order to reserve this tour as well.
Spend the Day Tour
The $50 per person “Spend the Day” tour is a customized tour and as such requires advance reservations and discussions with the “Ghyslain Chocolatier” staff.
