Mark your calenders. The legendary rock group Bon Jovi will be performing a free concert on the beaches of Gulf Shores on October 15, 2010. These concerts will be held on Gulf Shores at HWY 59. This is the first of 2 free concerts in one weekend. The incredible country singer Brad Paisley will be performing on October 17, 2010. The concerts are being put on by Concerts for the Coast. This organization is dedicated to bringing tourism back to the Gulf Shores area. This area was hit hard by the BP oil spill. The hopes are people will stay long enough to spend some money at local lodgings and restaurants.
The Bon Jovi and Brad Paisley concerts are free, but you must have a ticket to gain entrance. Children under 10 are free with a ticketed adult. Ticket sales will begin this Saturday, September 11, at 8 am. There are 3 distribution sites:
Orange Beach has changed it’s site. The new site is the Orange Beach Sportplex at 4385 William Silvers Parkway.
The Gulf Shores distribution site is the Erie Meyer Civic Center at 1930 West 2nd Street
The Foley distribution site is City Hall at 407 East Laurel Avenue.
There are rules to obtaining a ticket. Due to the limited tickets available, only 4,500 per concert, only 2 tickets for 1 concert per person. You can not get a ticket for both the Bon Jovi concert and the Brad Paisley concert. Decide now who you love more. You must have a valid government issued photo ID. The tickets are free, but due to the limited number, arrive early to get in line.
