Just as moving speeches involve visual aids and effective studying techniques involve diagrams, engaging knitting patterns include charts. Commonly associated with embroidery and cross stitching, charts are used to create a variety of beautiful designs or motifs on knitted pieces. In particular, I enjoy using charts to create both solid-colored elevated and multi-colored flat motifs on handbags that I have knitted. The following describes and provides links to some great, free bag and purse knitting patterns with motif charts included.
