First thing’s first, Fred’s Video Game Reviews has changed to Game Over. It’s shorter to type and easier to say/ remember. Now we can do the main review.
I recently decided to play Need for Speed: World, a game I had forgotten even existed, in order to to get a job reviewing video games for another site. Sadly I never got the job and wasted three weeks playing, personnaly, a terrible, unoriginal game. Need for Speed: World takes place in Rockport, the same city from Need for Speed: Most Wanted. The city in Need for Speed: World is literaly a copy and paste version of Rockport from NFS: MW. There wasn’t a single area in the game that wasn’t in NFS: MW! This really lowered the amount of fun I had playing this game. The races were extremely laggy leaving only police chases, which were too easy to get out of. This game also includes powerups which are won in races or can be bought with in-game currency. You get a choice of 4 cars in the beggining, and if you arn’t careful you will get the wrong car and pretty much screw-up your chances of succeeding at anything in-game. The menu’s were somewhat easy to navigate, if you can make your way through the lag. The lag is something I can’t stress enough. Because they wen’t F2P, there have been more people playing, so now nearly every server is crowded causing tons of lag.
That about does it for me. The review is short, but the game doesn’t have a whole lot to do.
