Upon the conclusion of the study, it was found that those who were given the ginger supplement experienced a significant reduction in nausea and vomiting than those who did not take ginger.
Along with helping to reduce the likelihood of nausea and vomiting, ginger is also given to reduce inflammation within the body. The University of Maryland states that doctors commonly prescribe ginger to be taken for those who suffer from arthritis or those who suffer from another type of inflammation within the body.
To consume ginger to relief nausea and other digestion ailments, consume up to four grams of fresh ginger root per day. If you feel like you may throw up, you can prevent vomiting by consuming one gram of powdered ginger every four hours. It is stated by the University of Maryland to never consume more than four doses per day.
