“Glee, The Music, The Christmas Album” premiered on November 16, 2010. This holiday CD features 12 tracks of contemporary favorites (Last Christmas), secular classics (You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch) and sacred hymns (O Holy Night). Glee the TV series not only attracts a mammoth cult television following, but Glee music productions have taken the entertainment world by storm. In it’s first season, Glee’s Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson) redid Journey’s rock classic ‘Don’t Stop Believing’. Since that time, the Glee version of ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ has overtaken the Steve Perry and Journey version in popularity.

-“We Need a Little Christmas” (from the 1966 Broadway musical ‘Mame’ and made famous by Johnny Mathis) The Glee version is performed by Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina Cohen-Chang), Amber Riley (Mercedes Jones) and Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel).
-“Deck the Rooftop” (a song written for the Glee cast and performed by Lea Michele (Rachel), Cory Monteith (Finn), Naya Rivera (Santana), Kevin McHale (Arty), Heather Morris (Brittany) and Jenna Ushkowitz.
-“Merry Christmas, Darling” (written by The Carpenters and performed by the late Karen Carpenter) Performed Lea Michele
-“Baby, It’s Cold Outside” – Written by Frank Loesser and made recorded by such pairs as Ricardo Montalban and Esther Williams in “Neptune’s Dream”, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Jordan, Bing Crosby and Doris Day, Dinah Shore and Buddy Clark, Red Skelton and Betty Garret (in reverse roles) amongst others. The Glee version is performed by Chris Colfer and Darren Criss (Blaine). It is absolutely charming.
