Conclusion of the Vampire Series
Vampires have become very popular among teenagers because of the twilight saga and Buffy the Vampire series. Teenagers are mimicking the appearance of vampires in their goth style of 19th century drab black clothing, chalky white faces, blood red lips, black eyeliner, and store bought fangs.
You can see these groups in high schools, on the street corners, and on the internet in social gathering websites. Most of the time this fad is more a fashion statement than anything else. these cults may be harmless but they can impact up our health.
However, Canadian police have actually uncovered vampirism cults where the individuals consumed cows blood.
University of British Columbia social work Professor, Grant Charles, worked with a group of teenagers who drank their own blood.
Vampires Cults and alleged murder
Unfortunately, some of these groups have turned into a dangerous cult. One landmark case involved two young boys who confessed their love of vampires and drinking human blood. They were charged with the death of another young boy by the name of Johnathan. This result amounted to a mistrial as it was discovered that Johnathan’s girlfriend was also vampire cult member and drank human blood. She had lied saying she had nothing to with her boyfriend’s vampire interests.
According to vampiresocial the vampire subculture is mostly a European and North American phenomenon. Though, they could be found in parts of Asia and South America. The main hubs for these vampire socials can be found in Melborne, London, Paris, Tokyo, New York, and Montreal.
Benjamin LeBlanc from the University of Montreal, has written a paper on the religious themes and the current vampire theme entitled, “Spirituality and the Vampire in Contemporary Western Culture.” However, only the abstract can be found online here:
