- 1/2 cup margarine (if using light (50% less fat) margarine you’ll need ¼ cup more.)
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 egg
- 1 cup granular sugar substitute (such as Truvia or Stevia)
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Note: You may use ½ cup olive oil instead of margarine to make your recipe more nutritious.
If using margarine soften first.
Preparation Time: Less than 10 minutes
While mixing ingredients preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Soften margarine in microwave first or leave out to soften.
Mix all ingredients together with a wire wisk or large spoon.
Prepare a small sized shallow baking dish or pan (6 by 6 inches) by either spraying with cooking oil or using wax paper to spread olive oil inside pan. Next, sprinkle lightly with flour and swish pan from side to side to get an even covering of flour. You can use either whole wheat or white flour for the pan.
Bake until tooth pick comes out clean in the middle. Approximately 20 minutes for 6 by 6 inch shallow baking dish.
