Halloween Crunch says that is is a Limited Edition on the box. It is from Cap’N Crunch. I purchased this box of cereal at Wal-Mart. It is 15 oz. and was on sale for $2. I thought that was a great price for this and for the kids to try it out. It is made and distributed by The Quaker Oats Company. If you had coupons, you could get this for an even better price. It is available at other stores as well.
This cereal says that one serving is 3/4 cup. If you are like me, you usually eat about two of these servings. Each serving has 100 calories and 15 of those come from fat. It has 1.5g of fat, 0mg cholesterol, 190mg of sodium, and 22g of Carbohydrate. It does only contain only 1g of dietary fiber which is not a lot of a morning cereal. It also has 11g of sugar which is a lot, but I knew that when I chose this type to buy. Adding milk adds to these counts.
If you have ever tried, Cap’N Crunch before this tastes exactly like the kind with crunch berries. The ghosts in this cereal taste like the berries in the other version. It was crispy for me the entire time even though it had sat in the milk for a bit. It tasted great and I will be eating it again right with my children.
One disappointment I had with this cereal is that the box states the “Ghosts Transform Milk to Green.” Well my bowl had plenty of ghosts in it, but my milk never seemed to change. I could not tell that it had changed at all to be honest at first. Then I realized it was a really light green. When I dumped the extra milk into the sink, it looked a light green. It was not as big of a change as I had hoped for and my daughter said she could tell hers changed, but not much as well.
I would recommend buying this again, but it nothing better than the other versions that they make already. It was on sale though and so I got a great deal for a box of cereal we will all be happy to eat at my home.
