It’s the 10th anniversary of the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass music festival this weekend, Oct. 1-3. Over these three days, there are more than 80 shows scheduled on six stages.
Some of the musicians slated to perform include Joan Baez, Emmylou Harris, Roseanne Cash, Patti Smith, Elvis Costello and The Sugarcanes, Indigo Girls, Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs, David Grisman Quintet, The Waybacks, T Bone Burnett and more.
All shows are free. No tickets necessary. You’ll want to print out a map of the event as well as the schedule of artists (and artist bios, if you wish) before you go. You can do that here.
If you just want to wander around and hear whatever fate brings your way, just head down to Speedway Meadow at Golden Gate Park and enjoy.
