Here are the remaining five things I would recommend looking into if I were new to the island or just stopping over on vacation.
#6 Sea Life Park:
Located in Waimanalo, Hawaii Sea Life Park is Hawaii’s premier spot for those who love sea life. Swim with dolphins or watch them perform fantastic aerobatics. Sea Life Park is home to the worlds only Walphin, a cross between a killer whale and a dolphin. Sea Life park also has, seals, penguin’s, sea turtles and various other aquatic life. You and your family will truly enjoy the experience.
#7 Kualoa Ranch:
Kualoa Ranch is a four thousand acre ranch located in Ka’a’awa, Hawaii. Enjoy events such as horseback or ATV riding as you tour the various sites this ranch has to offer. Kualoa ranch also offers various educational activities and opportunities for kieki (kids). Also areas of Kualoa ranch were used as the backdrop for big name Hollywood movies. If you choose to take this adventure you and your family will absolutely love it.
#8Koko Head District Park:
Koko Head District Park is located near Honolulu. You can hike to the top of yet another one of Hawaii’s volcanic features. You will have a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape and this experience can only be felt here on Oahu. If you don’t mind a semi-strenuous hike then I recommend you take a look. Be sure to bring your high-resolution camera.
#9Pearl Harbor Naval Base:
See historic Pearl Harbor located near Pearl City Hawaii. You will see numerous historic sites from the Japanese attach on Pearl Harbor. You will even be offered a tour of the USS Arizona, still sunk in the Bay. You will definitely learn something if you opt to go to Pearl Harbor. Though your timing may have to be adjusted due to large quantities of people as well as limited parking. If you can manage to overcome these obstacles I would recommend the experience.
Downtown Honolulu offers an uncountable number of things to do. You could window shop almost on a daily basis for a week and still not cover all the very nice stores that line the streets. Also you have access to the beach, and an uncountable number of nice restaurants. Located in the heart of downtown you have the International Marketplace, a large outdoor market absolutely filled with local vendors. The Honolulu Zoo is nearby as well as Ala Moana mall. Whatever you seek, you can find Downtown.
I hope you find this useful and I apologize for not making my first article about all ten items. This is only scratching the surface of Oahu. There are things located on this island that will sate the curiosity of any. I hope you enjoy your stay.
