New York State’s Congressional District 19 (where I live) is a traditionally right leaning area which is currently “represented” in Congress by incumbent John Hall, who is a far left liberal. John Hall does not act in the best interest of his constituency; instead he tows the progressive line, enthusiastically embracing Obama and Pelosi’s destructive policies no matter how much they may negatively impact people who live in his district.
This November, voters will have a chance to rid themselves of John Hall by voting for Nan Hayworth, who won the September 14 Republican primary. She faces a fight not only from regional voters, but also from rich liberals in New York City who have summer or vacation homes here in the Hudson Valley and change their voter registration addresses in order to influence our elections; knowing that NYC leans heavily left anyway. Hayworth also has to deal with liberals from outside of the region who have been encouraged by lefty publications like the Daily Kos to go to her facebook page for trolling purposes.
In yet another clear demonstration of John Hall’s utter disregard for who he is being paid to represent in Congress, John Hall didn’t even bother to show up for a recent debate with Nan Hayworth and instead sent a proxy with prewritten notes to act in his place. The voters of NY-19 deserve better. He doesn’t seem to think the people are worth his time.
John Hall was first voted into office here in 2006 with help from George Soros, Hollywood progressives and other wealthy people from outside the area who were eager to see former Representative Sue Kelly lose her job because she did not support gay marriage. In 2008, John Hall narrowly managed to keep his job by riding on Obama’s popularity. He has voted for every single big spending initiative pushed by the Obama administration, including the hugely unpopular government takeover of our country’s healthcare. 98.2% of John Hall’s votes in Congress have been for whatever Nancy Pelosi wanted!
Nan Hayworth is running in opposition to the Obama agenda and is running to fight for the people of NY-19, unlike John Hall who sees us as merely a meal ticket and no matter what the people in the region want, he will only adhere to the demands of his party. A vote for John Hall is a vote for higher taxes, less national security, and more government intrusion into and control over our lives. If you live in NY-19 and are tired of being ignored by your so called “Representative”, then get to the polls and do something about it on November 2, 2010 – vote to send Nan Hayworth to Congress.
