A machine can overheat and get hot or it can become hot during its routine running. Headaches can cause you to overheat and become hot. Just like vomiting when the whole body strains to expel fluids and partially digested food headaches can cause your body to heat up.
Over activity in the brain may be the cause of turning the heat up. Stimulus outside and inside the body can create over activity in the brain.
Eyestrain is an example of outside stimulus where the eyes are overworked internally working the brain to where exhaustion and the push to do more heats the brain into a headache.
Hunger is an inside stimulus where the brain focuses on the requests of the body to the point that it heats up into what is called a “Hunger Headache.”
Headaches heating up the body from overwork may seem ironic and out of place because the reverse can occur.
A concussion where the head takes a hit and the brain shifts or moves in the skull can make the body feel cold. With a concussion there can be headache.
A headache can make the body heat up to the point of being chilled. With high temperature the brain may start to cook but instead of the body burning up to the brain it feels cold, cold enough to start shivering and shaking.
While a normal headache can make you hot it’s likely not to reach the point of extreme heat to where you are in a life-threatening situation but a headache should never be taken too lightly. They can be a symptom of something sinister and destructive going on in the body such as stroke, heatstroke in some situations, dehydration and fatigue.
If a headache is causing you to feel hot and you haven’t taken any aspirin or aspirin free products for headache go ahead and take something to relieve it. If you are already taking medication for something ask your physician beforehand if you can take medication to relieve headache pain.
Headache relief will help to cool you down.
You can cool off by touching an ice pack to the forehead every once in a while. Leaving an ice pack on the forehead may burn the skin.
As long as you avoid getting arthritis products in your eyes you can apply products like “Icy Hot” to your forehead. This can help to relieve headache pain. Used in conjunction with aspirin or aspirin free products headache relief may come sooner.
