If you are trying to get pregnant, you understand how wonderful this part of your life can be. Learn some fertility home remedies to help you in your fertility journey.
As I have searched in my own quest to get pregnant, fertility has become my number one keyword in life. There is something about trying to get pregnant that is all encompassing. If you’re reading this, you’ve probably encountered what I’m talking about. You wake up thinking about fertility, you got to be thinking about fertility. Fertility is always on your mind.
The Fertility Journey
As you begin your TTC process, it can be very emotional. Not only are your emotions high but your spouses are too. When you both have a high stress level, well, you know what follows. Frustration, crying, fighting, sleepless nights; however, it doesn’t have to be this way. If you’ve experienced arguing with your spouse about the whole fertility process, keep reading!
I’ve been trying to get pregnant for about five years so I tend to think of myself as an expert on dealing with trying to get pregnant. There is nothing that is more wonderful than getting pregnant. The fertility journey is one filled with hope, excitement, and wonder as you begin to imagine when you’ll finally be pregnant.
After several months of intense trying, frustrations begin to run high. Tears begin to fall as you realize you’ve been trying everything, and still nothing. You are checking your cervix mucous daily; you are watching your basal temperature; you eat right; and most of all, you do the wild thing every other day hoping for success.
When it doesn’t happen, discouragement sets in. All the hope you once had, seems to fade. Will it happen? Will I get pregnant? Is all this for nothing?
These questions are normal. Each woman who has tried to conceive has experienced emotions like these. Maybe others haven’t dealt with the level as stress that you have, but they’ve experienced the same emotions. I’ll admit, the longer you try to get pregnant, the more we seem to feel we know about the subject of fertility. Yet, we all can understand how difficult and frustrating it can be when that time of the month comes and we realize we aren’t pregnant.
How to Deal with Trying to Get Pregnant
These suggestions are merely things I’ve learned along the way. They’ve helped my husband and me for over five years. Yep, I said five years, and we are still trying to conceive. I hope these methods help you emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Through the entire process, my husband and my first focus was each other. We needed to keep our relationship stronger than ever, after that, it was all just icing on the cake. Not that our emotions didn’t run high because they did. We just had to learn that if we had each other, we could get through anything. So will you and your spouse. It just takes practice.
Never give up home.
Even when you feel you’ve done as much as you can do and you’re ready to quit! Don’t give up your hope that you will conceive. That hope will keep you trying month after month.
Faith is something that has kept my hope alive on days when I wasn’t sure how to stop crying. You’ve could have had those days too. When you’ve lost all hope, faith will keep you going. Write a sentence, Scripture, or phrase and put it where you will see it often. Here are a few to print off and put all around the house.
I will get pregnant.
My body is working just like it should.
Faith can move mountains.
My baby is coming just around the corner.
I will not give up.
Take a break.
Sometimes, you just need a break. It is perfectly fine to take a month off and just breathe. The stress of trying to conceive without success can be frustrating. Give yourself and your spouse a chance to get rejuvenated.
Take a mini vacation.
I’ll confess-my husband and I rarely have gotten a mini vacation away. What we have done is make time for each other even if it was a dinner and movie night at home. There is something about spending time together and just getting a chance to spark the romance that can rejuvenate your relationship and drive to begin TTC again.
You can make a night of romance anywhere!
Take daily vitamins.
Eat lots of fruits and veggies.
Have weekly date night.
Keep a journal of your progress.
Keep motivational words throughout your house.
Have faith that it will happen.
