The Woodywoof Project is looking for volunteers who would like to knit blankets for a good cause: The Project provides knitted blankets to the Neonatal ICU and children with long hospital stays or chronic illnesses being treated at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC).
Last year, Woodywoof provided more than 500 blankets, helping to give comfort to hospitalized children. You can either knit on your own and donate your blankets, or you can knit with the knitting group that meets at CPMC.
CPMC is located at 3700 California Street. The knitting group meets in room B560 on Thursday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm. For more information, contact Jean Scardina at 415-585-5475 or via email at vjscardina at sbcglobal.net.
