Having your child help you out around the house will help the day to run smoother, and ensure that the household chores do not fall on just one person.
Keep a record of completed work and grades
As each assignment is completed and graded it is important to make sure you keep a documented record of everything. There are plenty of ways that you can keep track of everything. If you prefer for it to be on the computer you can use a simple excel program to keep track of grades. Or you can visit your local school supply store, and purchase a teachers grade book. This way each parent can keep track of the information they need.
Work together on problem areas
If your children are struggling in a particular area, it is important for you to work together on those difficult areas. This means that parents really need to focus on communicating with each over. If have found it to be a good idea to sit down in the evening, and really focus on what was done during the day and where the problem areas were. Dinner time is really a great time to go over this information as a family. This way everyone is still on the same page.
