If you would like to add avatars to your site in Xoops, read this guide. These avatars can be added to your site by you and your users. In this guide, I am going to show you how to add these avatars to your site in Xoops. You have to be logged in as admin to do this task. Once you are logged in, you will need to make your way to your control panel.
In your control panel, you will need to find the Avatars option and click it. Once you click the Avatar option, the page will reload and you will see your options for uploading new avatars to your site. Below I will list the options found in this section and explain what they are.
Name – In this field, you will need to enter a name for the avatar you are uploading. This name will need to represent what the avatar is. When you are editing avatars, you will browse the names in order to find the one you want to edit. So, using a name to represent the avatar is a good idea. This field is required to upload avatars.
Image File – In this field, you will need to click the Browse button. A box will open and you will need to locate the avatar on your computer that you want to use. Double click the avatar to open it in this field. This field is required in order to upload avatars.
Display Order in Image Manager – When the avatar is displayed in your image manager section, it will be placed at random, unless you assign it a spot. For example, if you want it to be the second in line, you would put a 2 in this field. If it really doesn’t matter, you can leave this field as it is.
Display This Image – If you are ready to put the avatar on your site, tick the Yes field in this section. If you want to add it to your site but not publish it, tick the No field.
When you have your above fields filled in, you can click the Submit button at the bottom of this section to add your new avatar to your Xoops site. If you need to add more avatars, repeat the steps in this guide. Create as many avatars as you want.
