If you have come across websites with small text and can’t see it, you have the option of resizing the text. If the text is too large and you are having to scroll left to right to read it, you may also want to resize the text. In this guide, you will learn how to resize text in Internet Explorer and Firefox. There are two ways to resize your text and I will show you both ways.
Resizing Website Text in Firefox and Internet Explorer using Your Mouse
One of the ways you can resize website text is by using your mouse. If you have a mouse with a wheel, you can do it this way. To make the text on a website larger, hold your CTRL key down on your keyboard and scroll the mouse wheel up. Make sure you hold the CTRL key down the entire time you are scrolling the mouse wheel. Don’t scroll too fast or you will have gigantic text.
If you want to make the text smaller, you can hold the CTRL key down and scroll the mouse wheel down. Again, scroll slowly because it doesn’t take much movement to change the size of the text when you are using the scrolling wheel on your mouse.
Resizing Website Text in Firefox using View Settings
Let’s begin with resizing website text in Firefox. This can be done by using the View menu in Firefox. Click the View menu to open it and place your mouse on the Zoom option. In the sub-menu, you will need to click the Zoom Text Only option. The menu will close and you will need to open it again. This time, place your mouse on Zoom and select either Zoom Out or Zoom In. You can also press CTRL + to zoom in and CTRL – to zoom out. Those are the keyboard shortcuts in Firefox for resizing website text, once you have checked the text option in Zoom.
Resizing Website Text in Internet Explorer using View Settings
To resize website text in IE using the view settings, you will need to open your View menu, place your mouse on Text Size and choose the size you want.
Using the scrolling wheel on your mouse, if you have one, is the easiest way to resize text on websites.
