For years, Kate Middleton dated Prince William, heir to the British throne. Since then, her life has never been the same. “Waity Kaitie” no more, Kate Middleton has further catapulted into fame now that she is about to become the future queen-in-waiting. If you’re one of the many girls all over the world dreaming of becoming a princess, follow the footsteps of Kate Middleton and try copying her style. You may not snag a real prince, but at the very least, you’ll improve your style.
Get an education. It’s no secret that the first time Kate Middleton met Prince William was in 2002 at the University of St. Andrews, where the two were schoolmates. Getting a higher education is one of the top priorities of the Middleton family. If you can afford it, and if you qualify to gain acceptance, try going to the best schools. Kate went to Marlborough College first before continuing her education at St. Andrews.
Keep your body in tip-top shape. Kate Middleton’s svelte body is a product of a good physical regiment. She used to be a bouncy college girl, but she improved her physique through the years. Self Magazine dubbed Kate as a “Fit Brit” and stated that she is one lean future queen. Kate joined “The Sisterhood,” a rowing team, in 2007 and helped the team become the first all-female crew to paddle across the Channel in a dragon boat. Kate can ski, swim and rollerblade.
Wear simple, but elegant, clothing. Gone was the unpolished, frumpy look. Kate Middleton now follows the “less is more” rule when it comes to donning clothes, makeup and accessories. Kate Middleton’s style is both classic and cool, as described by many observers. Primarily understated, her wardrobes have simple lines that frame her body in a silhouette. Kate shows her youthfulness when she wears her clothes. She loves wearing jeans when she goes out with her friends, but she also enjoys wearing an elegant evening dress when the occasion calls for one. She wore a navy blue Issa dress during the announcement of her engagement to Prince William.
Avoid wearing too much accessories. Kate Middleton does not put on too much accessories. A wristwatch, a pair of stud earrings and a simple necklace are the only accessories you’ll see her wear often. She loves to wear hats. She indulges herself with whimsical hats every now and then. Currently, her main accessory is her engagement ring, which is a quarter-size sapphire ring with diamond studs worn by Prince William’s mother, Princess Diana, during her engagement to Prince Charles.
Wear simple hairstyle. Kate Middleton wears her hair in a plain, shiny brown waves . She often wears her hair down.
Cut your fingernails short and keep them clean and unpolished. One thing many people noticed when the cameras focused on her hand during the engagement is that her fingers were short, clean and unpolished.
Avoid too much makeup. During her college years, Kate Middleton wore shiny, glittery makeup. Nowadays, she wears light makeup to complement her skin tone. On some occasions, she only wears thin eyeliner, light powder and lipgloss.
Walk regally and with confidence. Kate Middleton stands tall even next to Prince William who is a towering 6 foot 3 inches tall. She walks with confidence, with head up high, her body straight and not slouching.
Wait patiently. Dubbed by the press as “Waity Katie” due to the length of time Kate and her prince dated, many people wondered for years when Prince William would pop the question. Fortunately, her loyalty and patience paid off, when Prince William finally asked her hand in marriage while vacationing in Kenya and after eight years of on again-off again relationship.
