You have the option of creating new users for your site when you are using the TikiWiki CMS. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to do just that. I will show you how to get to the users section of TikiWiki and I will show you the steps you need to take to create the new users. You have to login to your TikiWiki admin area to get to the users page. Once you have logged in, follow the steps below to get started with the creating of new users in TikiWiki.
Opening Your New Users Page in TikiWiki
We will begin with opening the New Users page in TikiWiki. To do this, you will need to find the Users link in the left panel. Click the Users link and the page will reload. On this page, look for the Add a New User button. It should be right at the top of your box on the page. Once you find the button, click it. Now you will see the fields you will need to fill in to create the new user. Let’s take a look at the fields on this page.
New User Fields
User – In this field, you will need to enter the username for the person you are creating the account for. This is the username they will log in to your site with.
Password – This is the password that they will log in to your site with. You can give them the option of changing this password if you want.
Repeat Password – Simply repeat the password that you typed above in this field.
Generate Password – If you would prefer to have a password generated for you, use this option. All you have to do is click the Generate button and you will see the password in the field. The password will also be placed in the above two fields.
User Must Change Password – If you want the user to change the password the first time they log in, tick this box. On their first login, they will be prompted to create a new password. Sometimes this is best so that they don’t forget their password.
Email – In this field, you will need to enter the users email.
When you are finished creating the new user, you will need to click the Add button at the bottom of the box and the user will be added to the database and your site.
