If you run a site that is going to send out newsletters, you can use TikiWiki to do it. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to create newsletters in TikiWiki. This tutorial will only show you how to activate and create the newsletters. To learn how to manage your newsletters, please see my other TikiWiki tutorials on newsletters. You will need to start out by logging into the admin area if you haven’t already.
Step 1 – Activating the Newsletter Feature
After you have logged into the admin area, you will need to open your features section. Before you can start doing anything with your newsletter, you will need to activate the newsletter feature. You can activate this feature from your Features panel. Click the Admin Home link in the left panel. Then click the Features box on the right side of the page. On the features page, you will see the Newsletter box. Click that box and click the Apply button. The newsletter will then be activated and you can move on to step two of this tutorial.
Step 2 – Loading Your Newsletter Page
In step two, I will show you how to open your newsletter page and find the option for creating newsletters. On the left side of your page, in the panel, you should see the Admin Newsletter link. Once you find that link, click it. When the page reloads, look for the Create/Edit Newsletter button at the top of the box. Click it and the newsletter page will load. Then move on to step three of this tutorial.
Step 3 – Creating Your Newsletter
Now you are ready to create your website’s newsletter. In this section, you will need to enter a name and description for the newsletter. Then you will need to go through the options and check and uncheck what you want. Then click the Save button. Next, you will need to click the Send Newsletter at the top of your box. Finish your newsletter in this window. When you are finished, click the Send newsletter button at the bottom of the box. Your newsletter will then be sent.
