Almost every woman experiences morning sickness, those who do not are very lucky. Although it is called “morning sickness” the sickness occurs anytime throughout the day, and it can somewhat ruin your outlook on pregnancy. Here are some remedies that may help you.
One of the more famous at home remedies is ginger. All the different types of ginger may help with the nausea. Things like ginger ale, ginger tea and even ginger capsules. All these have been proven to reduce nausea.
Sipping on lemonade may help with the nausea also; sometimes even the smell of lemon can cut the feeling of being sick right away. If you need to keep a few lemon candies by your bed for emergency.
The use of peppermint for nausea has been promoted for hundreds of years. The peppermint tea has been my best friend through out my last pregnancy. It immediately cut my sickness right out.
Crackers are many women’s best friend during the first trimester. Some women survive on soda crackers, as the way the cracker works it absorbs your stomach acid somewhat and keep you from throwing up.
Right away when you wake up, snack on something or drink something. It will help you throughout the day. Also it is best to snack throughout the day. Never let your stomach sit without food for too long, it is one of the causes for morning sickness.
Never get dehydrated. Plain and simple, it is the best thing for you. If you let yourself get dehydrated you will wind up in the hospital with an IV in your arm. The best way to keep hydrated is too keep drinking water, always keep the water bottle next too you and even if you throw it up try to get the nausea taken care of and drink more water. It will make your pregnancy much more enjoyable.
If home remedies are just not doing the job, go see your doctor and see them about nausea medication. It may be your only chance of relief from sickness. I congratulate you on your pregnancy, and wish you all the luck with the morning sickness.
