It is much safer to have to little oil and add in more then to much.
You will need to put some kind of breading over the ham. You can find all kinds of frying recipes online. Pick one that sounds good to you or even try a few on smaller foods first. Then make your batter and lather up the ham. To make it easier you can fry slices of ham instead of the whole thing at once. Frying is simple. Once you have any food ready to go with a batter you heat up the oil. When the oil gets hot you put the food in the oil. You take the food out before it gets burned and you have friend food. It is really easy. One other caution you should take is not to get the oil to hot. The oil will be hot long before it boils so do not bring to a boil or it will cook to fast and the oil may be more dangerous to work with. It is better to have the oil cooler and keep the food in the oil longer.
A whole ham will take a long time to properly cook. Slices will cook very fast and need only a simple pan and spatula making it much safer and easier. It may be good to try frying smaller foods first if you never have fried. Whatever method you use to fry a ham make sure to be safe. As long as you are safe while you fry you will end up with a yummy fried ham for the holidays.
