You’ve been to the tanning salon and got a nasty tan, or you’ve tried a spray-on tan, and now you look orange, or you simply like being fairer. While it is true that tanning is a lot easier than getting rid of a tan, there are ways you can expedite the process of losing your tan.
My first suggestion is to avoid getting tan in the first place. Use sunscreen with SPF 30+ to protect your skin from the sun. Not only will this reduce your tanning, it will also protect your skin from skin cancer. Of course, if you’re already tan, this suggestion is a little useless.
If you’re already tan, one thing you can do is exfoliate. This will help remove dead skin cells, so your skin will regenerate faster. Exfoliation will eventually remove the top layer of your skin, and leave fresh, clean skin! This will also help clean your face and prevent buildup of oils and dead skin cells.
Another thing you can do is apply lemon juice on your face twice a day, for 15-20 minutes per application. Lemon juice contains acid, so it will do the same thing as exfoliation. It will help remove the top layer of skin. Of course, it won’t be as effective as a real face peel, but it will definitely help! Just a quick note, the lemon juice will burn a bit, depending on the sensitivity of your skin. It is working, though!
There’s no way to get rid of a tan immediately, but these two methods will help make your tan fade faster. Remember, that these are methods that you can do at home, but you can always get it done professionally, with chemicals. However, this is not recommended because slathering your face with so many chemicals is definitely not good for it. Try to stick to natural ingredients on your face.
