How to Get to Hedingham Castle from London
If you are arriving from London on the M25 and then the M11, take exit 8 (A120 Colchester) and then stay on the A120 on to Braintree. As you circle around the bypass, continue to follow the Sudbury signs. From this point, Hedingham Castle is signposted, which will make navigating to the castle easier. As you approach Braintree on the Sudbury road, branch left onto the A1017 to Gosfield and The Hedinghams. When you reach Sible Hedingham turn right to Castle Hedingham and then left to the castle, which is at the top of the village’s main street. From here, the entrance gates to Hedingham Castle are located just 200 yards on the right.
Hedingham Castle is also easily accessible from the A11 for visitors coming from Newmarket, and the A134 for those coming from Sudbury.
