For any emergency kit you will want to have those precious items, that your will need for your baby in an emergency. The first thing you will want to have in the bag are a few diapers. Even if you have chosen to use cloth diapers, it would be beneficial to keep a few disposable diapers in the car for emergencies. You will want to have at least two on hand. You never know when the need may suddenly arise. Next you will want to keep some snacks for mom. You never know when you will suddenly feel a drain of energy while running errands. You can change the snack every month, but keeping some granola bars, or a bag of chex mix in the car, you will have the boost when you need it. Next on the list you will need a change of clothes. Emergency clothes are a must when you have young children. A pack of wipes is also important to keep in your emergency baby care kit. Last but not least are the following, a baby blanket, hand sanitizer, two Ziploc bags, and a burp cloth. All of these items are essential when you have an emergency.
Keep it up to date
You will want to make sure that you keep the emergency box in your car up to date. As your child gets older and reaches the toddler years you will need to update it a bit. You will need to occasionally change their outfits. Also you will want to include some snacks for your toddler as you get older. Be sure to keep the snacks in their original box and check the date often.
