Things You’ll Need:
* Chinese noodles (the crunchy ones)
* Bag of chocolate chips
* Jelly beans, M&M’s or other candy that looks like bird eggs
* Double boiler Pan
* wax paper
Using your double boiler, fill the bottom with water and start to boil. Add your other pot full of chocolate chips and let them melt. Be sure to stir often so that you don’t scorch the chocolate.
Once the chocolate chips are completely melted, add your crunchy Chinese noodles and coat completely so that they look like little twigs. Once this is done, remove from heat and let set for no more than a couple minutes so that it starts to harden.
Using a table spoon, scoop out a portion and place on the wax paper. Use the back of the spoon so that you can make an indent in the top of the cookie for your “eggs”. Use all the chocolate mix you have to repeat this process.
Once the chocolate is dried, place a couple of your jelly beans or M&Ms in the nest so that it looks like birdy nests.
*This is a bit messy of a project but kids love to help. Be sure that the chocolate is cool before they touch it because they can burn themselves.
