Are you tired of eating the same old spaghetti? Do you have trouble getting your kids to eat their veggies? Here is a nice kielbasa spaghetti with logs of veggies to change things up a bit.
Things You’ll Need:
* 1 package kielbasa
* 1 large carrot
* 1 small head broccoli
* 1 package spinach noodles
* 1 onion
* 1 can or jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce
* 1 cutting board
* chef knife
* large saucepan
* large pot
With your chef’s knife and cutting board, chop up your broccoli and carrot. Dice your onions so that they are small.
Using the same knife and cutting board, quarter your kielbasa and then slice into bite size pieces. Make sure that they are small enough that there is enough for every bite.
Prepare noodles as directed on the package. When the noodles are partially cooked, dump all the veggies and kielbasa into the saucepan and stem with the lid on.
When your noodles are finished, drain them and return to the pot. Dump the veggies and kielbasa into the pot as well and mix to incorporate. Turn the heat down so that you do not over cook.
Add your favorite sauce to the mix. Stir to cover the entire mix. Cook for five to ten minutes, just enough to heat the sauce. Flavor with salt and pepper to taste. When your sauce is hot, you are ready to serve!
*This tastes great served with a nice French bread.
*If you want to add more veggies, stewed tomatoes and celery are a good addition.
*This is a great way to get kids to eat more veggies.
*Kids might be reluctant to eat this because of all the veggies. I find that tempting them with Parmesan cheese always works.
