Prepping at night for Day 3 consisted of getting my medicine ready for the trips. It’s a 35 mile drive from where I live to AFM. The prep is necessary because my schedule is full. Every time I say “my schedule is full” I think of the line from Top Gun, “Negative ghostrider, the pattern is full.”
I’m going in stealth mode this time. No laptop. I have my one-sheet and my trailers all loaded on my iPhone, which is easier to show than my MacBook. Besides that, I don’t want to lug a laptop around all day. I will bring a DVD of the trailers and a separate DVD of the prospectus slideshow for Legend of Black Lotus. I’ll also have it on my iPhone. Now I wish I had an iPad.
I have several pre-arranged meetings on Tuesday with a number of companies. Nine total. It’s going to be a busy day.
Find distribution partners for Resurrection of Serious Rogers
Find financing for Legend of Black Lotus
Find co-production partners and financing prospects for Legend of Black Lotus
Introduce filmmakers to my upcoming project, Demigod.
The last half of the market seems geared towards the half market pass users. Case in point, the fancy schmancy buffet diggs that magically appeared in the pool area from one day to the next. The rise in price for a cup of coffee, from $2 to $4 overnight. Literally. The expanded smoking area. Let’s see how Tuesday goes. Oh, and it’s really going to be interesting because I’m driving my pick-up to Santa Monica. Not my Saturn Outlook – my wife has the good car today.
I made sure I had the number to AAA in my phone.
