If you’re like me, you like to stretch your birthday celebration for as long as you can get away with it. If you’re not like me, you probably still enjoy a free or cheap meal every now and again. Many restaurants now offer the option to join their email clubs. These email clubs usually offer an up-front freebie (such as a free appetizer or dessert on your next visit) but oftentimes, the best freebies come for your birthday.
I’m a member of quite a few email clubs, mostly because I like eating cheap for the whole month of October. If you’re picky and don’t want all these emails flooding your inbox on a (somewhat) daily basis, I’ve compiled a list of a few restaurants and what their email clubs have to offer for a birthday gift.
Cold Stone Creamery
-This is usually the small size and only offers one mix-in. So if you want the large Birthday Cake Remix, you will be walking away a sad birthday boy or girl. This coupon is only good for one week.
Qdoba Mexican Grill
-From what I remember, you can get a different entree besides a burrito with this coupon. This coupon is good for two weeks.
-I think you can use this to get a beef or chicken burger. I’m not sure if this applies to their other entrees (such as wraps) so you might want to ask before you order. This coupon is good for two weeks.
Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream and Treatery
Free Ice Cream Cone
-This is for a kid’s size ice cream cone. I think this only includes one mix-in, like Cold Stone. This coupon is sent one week before your birthday and expires ON your birthday.
Stir Crazy Fresh Asian Grill
$10 off your purchase
-This is only valid for dine-in. I’m not sure if this applies to alcohol purchases or not. This coupon is only good for two weeks.
$10 off your purchase of $20 or more
-This is valid for dine-in only and does not apply to alcoholic beverage purchases. This coupon is good for 15 days and is not valid on holidays.
-This coupon is one of those tricky ones that you can only view and print once, so be sure to have your printer ready. This coupon is valid for two weeks and is for dine-in only.
Cozymel’s Mexican Grill
Half price Fajitas Tradicionales
-This offer is good for up to 4 people. This coupon is good for two weeks.
On The Border
Free Dip Trio or Brownie Sundae
-I’ve never actually redeemed this offer because it’s not as good of a deal as most of the previous restaurants I’ve mentioned. Purchase of one or more entrees is required. This is for dine-in only. This coupon is good for two weeks.
Free Dessert with Purchase of $10 or more
-This coupon is good for two weeks. There is no stipulation as to whether this is only valid for dine-in.
-This is a rare coupon that is good for the whole month of your birthday, plus two weeks after. This coupon is only good for a dessert up to $3.95.
Buffalo Wild Wings
-This is good with an entree purchase, it doesn’t say whether it’s for dine-in only.
-This coupon is good for an entree up to $9.95. Valid for two weeks only.
BD’s Mongolian BBQ
Free stir-fry bowl
-This coupon is good for one free stir-fry bowl. Unlimited stir-fries are not included. This coupon is good for two weeks.
Ten Free Wings
-This coupon is valid for a week after your birthday and is only good for dine-in.
Free Slice of Pie
-This is the reason why most people go to Baker’s Square anyway! This coupon is good for two weeks.
Buy One Get One Free
-This is the same as most of their coupons. This requires the purchase of two drinks. The coupon is valid for two weeks.
There are also a multitude of other email club coupons that aren’t food-related. Here is a short list of some of the best.
-If you sign up to be in their “Beauty Insider” rewards club, you get a free gift on your birthday. In years past, this was a vanilla cupcake-scented body wash, but for 2010, they are giving away a cute little eye makeup set. This includes a mini sparkly white eye shadow, a mini green-gray eyeliner, and a mini mascara.
-Rewards members get a coupon for their birthday, usually in the area of 25 – 30% off one book.
-Rewards members get a $5 coupon to use toward the purchase of new shoes. This coupon can be stacked with other rewards coupons.
Signing up for e-clubs are usually always a good idea. You will get unwanted blast emails a lot of the time, so you can always opt-out of emails with them if you want to. However, with all the free swag you get from time to time, why not just delete the ones you don’t want and keep the ones you do?
