You don’t need to undertake a lengthy or pricey process to replace the vehicle’s keys; you must simply produce evidence that you are the vehicle’s registered owner.
You may also need to visit your nearest Buick dealership and pick up the replacement key yourself. You’ll need a driver’s license, Vehicle registration documents, passport or state ID card. Bring your title, passport or state ID card, driver’s license and proof of registration to your local Buick dealer.
Show the registration for your Buick to an employee of the car dealer. The employee will then check the vehicle identification number (VIN)-a requirement Buick must follow before providing you with the key for your 2006 Buick.
Put the new key into the driver’s-side door of the 2006 Buick. Make sure you do this at the car dealer in order to test that the key is working properly.
