I always had a problem saving money in my life. I really was getting upset after trying to start saving and never had any success.
Finally i got really fed up and went to Barnes and Noble and looked for a book about saving money. I found a book written by Robert Allen.
I read the book and automatically started to implement the most important money saving technique I have ever heard about. This technique is very simple and it was funny to me to read about it and think that I did not come up with this on my own.
What I started doing was this. Every paycheck I got I automatically took 10% out of it and put it in an envelope. You can also put it into a separate bank account but make sure you wont use this account for anything else except depositing your 10% of your paycheck.
Even though my paycheck was just a little bigger than the amount of my bills I soon started to see that my savings started to grow and that made me very happy. If you finally start to succeed in something after failing over and over again you really feel proud of yourself.
Again make sure to put away 10% out of your paycheck every week. Make sure to do that before you use any of the money to pay any bills. Pay yourself first is the rule here. The first thing to do is pay yourself first from every paycheck.
Putting the money into a bank account instead of an envelope will work better because as your money grows the percentage in the bank will grow as well so you will save more money then when you just hold it in an envelope.
